Free Ink Day!
Join us for an afternoon of hand-made art activities at Highpoint
- Prints & Puppetry Redux
Saturday, July 20, 1 – 5 pm
Spring is just around the corner! Help us celebrate the legacy of long Minnesota winters and the anticipation of springtime follies with an afternoon of inky fun. Visit our studio to make colorful monoprints during our Spring Fling Free Ink Day!
What is Free Ink Day?
Four times a year Highpoint invites the community to an afternoon of hands-on printmaking and creative fun. At these free, public events visitors of all ages can drop in anytime during the afternoon to make prints to take home. Since 2002 Free Ink Days have been an opportunity for the community to create unique, hand made artwork. All materials for the planned activity are supplied by Highpoint (and are non-toxic), and no registration is necessary – just drop in anytime during the afternoon, bring your creativity, and be ready to get inky! Staff and volunteers will be able to answer any questions along the way. Past activities have included monoprinting and relief block printing, and have incorporated themes such as Día de los Muertos, Intergalactic Ink, and Prints and Puppetry.
