School Partnerships

Highpoint has partnered with metro area schools since it’s opening in 2001. Highpoint serves young artists in 3rd grade and up. 60% of these schools come to Highpoint at no cost thanks to the generous funders of our education and community programs.

Students often arrive at Highpoint with little to no knowledge of printmaking and many no longer have art programs at their schools. They are given the professional instruction, tools and equipment to create hand-made artwork all their own. The classroom at Highpoint is a place for young people to learn to explore and trust their artistic strengths through the incredibly versatile medium of printmaking.

Schools with strong visual art programs rely on Highpoint to broaden students’ knowledge of printmaking in a professional studio setting. The Arts High School at Perpich Center for Arts Education visits Highpoint every year with senior visual arts students to drive their study of monoprinting to a new level. With a large classroom studio, professional atmosphere and high quality materials and equipment, Highpoint offers a place where these young emerging artists see their work grow and thrive.
