Excavations: The Prints of Julie Mehretu
On view: October 3 – November 21
On Saturday, October 3 Highpoint Center for Printmaking hosted a very special evening to celebrate the Grand Opening of Highpoint’s Permanent Home—a beautiful 10,000 sq. ft. art center designed by architect James Dayton, principal and founder of James Dayton Design. This signal event to celebrate Highpoint’s new art center and also to debut Excavations: The Prints of Julie Mehretu—the first-ever comprehensive show of prints produced by the artist thus far in her career. A four-color catalogue written by Siri Engberg, Curator, Walker Art Center and published by Highpoint Editions will accompany the exhibition and is available for purchase.
