Want to proprose a class to Highpoint?

Highpoint Center for Printmaking invites printmaking instructors to submit adult class proposals to take place in Highpoint’s new, expanded facility at 912 W. Lake Street in Minneapolis. Classes will take place at Highpoint and should be based on traditional printmaking methods including lithography (stone, plate or photo), intaglio (etching, solarplate, or collagraph), relief, monoprint, or screenprint.  Instructors must be available to teach classes during the Fall 2009 session. More info available here.

Upcoming Youth Workshops!

Highpoint partners with children, families, and community groups, offering hands-on printmaking classes that inspire and instruct. Youth Workshops are planned to fit busy schedules, provide high-quality art education experiences, introduce young artists to accessible local programs & organizations and to provide diverse learning opportunities to our visitors.

  • Teens Screen! Explore the printmaking process that Andy Warhol made famous! Learn to design an image, expose screens and print multi-layered screenprints.
  • 5 Centers for Art Camp Feed your creative appetite with five days at five art organizations. Each weeklong session will follow a different artistic theme.
  • Culture Camp Work with artists at five cultural arts organizations to create sculptures, performances, prints, handmade books, and dances.

Upcoming Adult Classes!

As always, Highpoint’s goal is to offer classes that present a wide-range of techniques and teaching styles. Remember, join HP as a supporting member and receive a 10% discount on classes.
