Highpoint Center for Printmaking is pleased to announce the Jerome Emerging Printmakers Exhibition. The January 23, 2004 opening will be celebrated with a Free Reception and Meet the Artists Event, to take place that evening from 6:30–9:00 PM. Work featured in the show was created at Highpoint during the artists’ nine-month residency; select prints are available for purchase. The public is invited to join us as we toast the accomplishments of the featured residents: Susannah Bielak, Colin Gatling, and Sara Langworthy.

The Jerome Emerging Printmakers Residency, created in spring 2003 with a generous grant from the Jerome Foundation, exists to provide a venue for selected emerging artists to further their exploration of the printmaking arts. Eligible artists have proven technical ability and dedication to their work, but have not yet received a commensurate amount of professional accomplishment and recognition. The three residents featured in this exhibition were chosen for their demonstrated artistic ability and promise, and have spent the past nine months creating work in Highpoint’s fully-equipped printmaking shop.
