Katinka Galanos used screenprinting and photopolymer processes to recreate a series of literary dedication pages. Her prints will be displayed near Highpoint’s gallery windows, where shifting sunlight will transform their appearance throughout the day.
Galanos received a BFA and an MFA from the University of Minnesota. She has also studied film and screenwriting at Minneapolis Community and Technical College. She has participated in group shows at the Katherine E. Nash Gallery, Minneapolis; 7.Stock, Dresden, Germany; Beijing Film Academy, Beijing, China and The Soap Factory, Minneapolis.
Recently exploring digital space, artist Miles Mendenhall used his residency to explore the computer's inability to process certain visual information. His large-scale screenprints feature ethereal, black and white patterns.
Mendenhall holds a BFA from the University of Minnesota. He has had solo shows at The Gallery at Fox Tax, Minneapolis; The Gallery Above Cal Surf, Minneapolis and Argente Photographie, Minneapolis. He has participated in group shows at the Weisman Art Museum, Minneapolis; The Gallery at Fox Tax, Minneapolis and the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
Justin Terlecki prints draw from his recent travels throughout India and Spain. Using screenprinting and lithography, Terlecki transformed his preliminary travel sketches into colorful prints that evoke scenes from graphic novels.
Terlecki has a BFA from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, OH. He has had solo shows at Trumbull Art Gallery, Warren, OH and Unity Unitarian Church, Minneapolis. Terlecki has participated in group shows at The Soap Factory, Minneapolis; Gallery 13, Minneapolis; St. Paul Gallery, St. Paul and the Minnesota Museum of American Art, St. Paul.
