May 30 & 31, 2026
11 am - 5 pm each day
Highpoint Center for Printmaking, 912 W Lake Street
Highpoint is thrilled to announce a brand-new, free, weekend-long celebration of printmaking, community, and creativity! Taking place in our studios and sprawling out to our parking lot and Lake Street sidewalk, Print Fest brings together artists, neighbors, and print lovers of all ages for hands-on activities, live print demonstrations, a vendor fair, food trucks, and a collaborative public art project. Print Fest festivities also include the opening of Highpoint’s 25th anniversary co-op exhibition, featuring a salon-style exhibition of works from co-op members past, present and future.
Expanding upon the concept and spirit of Free Ink Days, this event marks an exciting new chapter in Highpoint’s history and a joyful invitation to gather, explore, and make together.
As part of Print Fest, Lynda Grafito, printmaker and inaugural TALC artist, will lead a bilingual (English/Spanish) collaborative public art project creating a temporary, large-scale, print-based artwork on Highpoint’s facade. Working primarily in linocut, Grafito draws from animals and plant life in Latin America and Minnesota to explore themes of migration, environment, and cultural connection.

Highpoint is located directly on a bus line. Visit MetroTransit.org to plan your route.
Ride Your Bike
Bike racks are available along Lake Street directly outside Highpoint, with additional temporary bike parking located in the back lot during the event.

Accessibility
Highpoint’s front entrance includes a short flight of six stairs. An accessible ramp and automatic door are available at the rear entrance. Once inside, all event spaces are located on one level.
Adaptive tools and equipment will be available for hands-on activities both indoors and outdoors. Visit the classroom area or ask staff for assistance at any time.

Food and Drink
Baba’s Airstream trailer will be onsite all weekend serving falafel, hummus, and other favorites for purchase. Find them in the parking lot alongside outdoor seating.
We’re also lucky to be surrounded by excellent Uptown restaurants and cafés. Consider visiting our nearby neighbors before or after the festival:

Sustainability
Recycling, compost, and trash stations will be available throughout the event. Please help us reduce waste by sorting items carefully. Food waste and Baba’s serving ware are compostable. Stay hydrated! A drinking fountain and water bottle refill station are located inside Highpoint between the restrooms. Compostable cups are available at the front desk if needed.
Weather
Print Fest takes place rain or shine! In the event of severe weather, outdoor activities may be delayed, paused, or canceled. Follow our social media channels for updates.
Print Fest is supported by an Arts Experience grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, a Cultural Arts District Fund grant from the City of Minneapolis Office of Art and Cultural Affairs, and Highpoint’s generous donors.
