Weekend Workshop: Collage Printmaking

Dates: Saturday 2/21 & Sunday 2/22; 10am-4pm

Ages: 18+

Cost: $145

Registration deadline: Saturday 2/14

Maximum enrollment: 12

Instructor: Sarah Shallbetter

Over the course of this 2-day weekend workshop, participants will carve a relief block and print it on different colored papers. After printing, participants will cut out sections of their print and collage them together to create a colorful, graphic work of art.

Participants will spend the first day of this workshop learning the basics of relief printmaking. They will spend time planning, carving a soft, easy-to-cut block, and printing designs on various colored papers. After prints dry overnight, day 2 will be spent cutting and assembling prints together to create an edition of collaged prints.

Previous experience with relief printmaking is helpful, but not required.
