Weekend Workshop: Print & Post: Monotype Screenprint Postcards

Date/Time: Sunday, 10am-4:30pm; 3/8

Ages: 18+

Cost: $100

Registration deadline: Register by 3/1/26

Maximum enrollment: 10

Instructor: Sofia Vasquez

Skill Level: Previous screenprinting experience is recommended, but not required.

This workshop will introduce participants to a dynamic process that merges the immediacy of monotype with the bold graphic qualities of screenprinting.

Participants will work with water-based mediums and an array of experimental tools to investigate mark-making, transparency, and color layering. Through guided demonstrations and open studio work time, students will create a small edition of 4.5 x 6.5 in postcards. The class will also include an opportunity for collaborative exchange, allowing everyone to leave with a set of postcards ready to be mailed!

Whether you're curious about printmaking or eager to expand your artistic toolkit, this workshop provides the structure, materials, and encouragement to dive into a playful and rewarding process.
