Printmaking for School Groups

K-12 youth workshops are designed for students of all experience levels and are custom-fit for age, technique, group size, and accessibility needs. Workshops include a tour of the galleries, professional instruction, tools, and equipment to create hand-made prints that students can take home!

*We require at least three weeks’ notice to schedule a class workshop to coordinate and order materials. If you are looking for more information or to schedule a class, please contact education@highpointprintmaking.org

Group size: Most youth workshops are great for up to 30 students. Screenprinting classes are best for high school-aged students and have a maximum of 12 participants (with some exceptions.)

Scholarships: Title 1 schools (40% of students on free and reduced lunch) can attend workshops at Highpoint at no cost and apply for bussing scholarships.

Safety, sustainability, and accessibility

Below are printmaking workshop examples by age group. Most classes occur within a 2-hour timeframe, though some class options require more time to complete. This is meant as a starting place, and we will work with you directly to schedule and custom-fit your workshop based on class size, interest, and accessibility needs. Most workshops take place in Highpoint's classroom, but off-site and classroom visits are also available.
